Anime Expo is the main annual event hosted by The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA). In 2008, Anime Expo’s attendance topped 43,000 attendees over the course of 4 days and can be considered as the largest Anime Convention in the U.S.

Guest of Honor includes:
Yun Kouga - Yun Kouga debuted as a manga artist in 1985. She is the creator of Earthian, Gestalt and also Loveless. She has garnered international praise and acclaim for Loveless. Yun Kouga is also the character designer for the highly popular anime Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

She’ll be joined by Seiji Mizushima, the famed director who is currently working on the theatrical version of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 that is set for a 2010 release date.

Gundam 00 On DVD

… now available in Malaysia. Got my copy last month from Tower Records. 25 episodes on three DVDs. Anyway, I got the Japanese version with English subtitled. The English version of Gundam 00 is reported to only be available on DVD next year.

This is the best Gundam I’ve seen so far and the graphic is simply the best. Gundam 00 is the first Gundam television series shot in high-definition. Get your copy to see what I mean.

Anyway, the 2nd season is currently being shown in Japan and as usual, only in 2009 will I get a copy of the DVD.
