said Gregory Ho, Vice President & General Manager, Animax Asia.
Tears to Tiara is set in a magical and fantasy medieval world. The story unfolds with the Divine Empire’s rise to power as it conquers lands far and wide.
The island of Erin is still ruled by the Ancient Kingdom, and the Goidelic people are attempting to sacrifice priestess Riannon to revive protagonist and demon king Arawn to lead the resistance against the Empire.
Although the ritual fails and Riannon survives, Arawn’s seal is broken and resurrected.
Armed with mysterious and devastating powers as well as a human’s demeanour, Arawn joins Riannon, her brother and battalion commander Arthur, along with their team of fighters comprising a swordsman, an archer and a quintet of pixies, in an epic struggle against the Divine Empire.
Tears to Tiara draws its inspiration from the gaming arena where it originates as a captivating fantasy role-playing game on the PC and Sony PlayStation 3 platforms. Published by Aquaplus, the Japanese games publisher behind titles like ‘To Heart’ and ‘Utawarerumono’, the ‘Tears to Tiara’ game proved so popular that it sold out across Asia at Sony as of March 2009.

Meet two of the characters from LaMB
Animax Asia’s first HD original animation production LaMB to star Taiwan-based singer and actor Van Ness Wu as voice actor for protagonist Jack Griswold. LaMB represents Van Ness’ first venture into voice-acting for animation. Van Ness is providing English and Mandarin dubs in Animax’s first and biggest original production.
Jack Grisworld

Researcher/Scientist - HortCouture Engineering (Advanced Bio-Botanical Design)
Jack was an orphan. He spent lots of his time with the genial old gardener of the orphanage when he was a boy. It was there that he discovered his love of plants and nature. The gardener’s stories of stars and lost worlds also spiced up his desire to explore the boundaries of human knowledge.
His curiousness and soul-searching thirst to comprehend the complexities of the universe drives his research. There is a belief in Jack that all great scientific breakthroughs will add a small but significant piece to the existential puzzle.
Because he spends more time in the lab then anywhere else and his deep focus on his research makes him looks awkward when in comes to dealing with social interaction.
Jack’s wife Emilia died in a tragic space-travel accident. He was frozen with fear and could only stare in horror as she lost her life. Guilt and loneliness has haunted Jack ever since.
Eve aka Major Sara Integra

Major Sara was sentenced to a 200 years imprisonment in a lamination suit due to a criminal failure during military operational duties and extreme negligence leading to manslaughter.
Major Sara grew up the hard way. She cam from a poor family and had to learn to be a survivor. She paid her way through college by modeling but was constantly angered by stereotypical notions of model being dumb. Joining the army seemed like the last thing she would do, but she was fascinated by the opportunity to work in Cerra’s most advanced science facility.
Where she created a literally beautiful weapon of mass destruction, she let her impatient instincts get better of here and it resulted in tragedy. In some ways, Sara is sadder about the cruel twist of fate that brought down he groundbreaking research, than the deaths of her bickering colleagues. There is a blade of cold steel in her heart and she is not ashamed of it.
Many years of quiet isolation however, has made Sara human existence in a different light. There is a certain Zen in the silence brought about by lamination, but there is also loneliness.

The system has also sparked off philosophical debate among citizens of the planet Cerra on whehter ‘Lamination’ is ethical.
